Aware, Care & Repair

As a means to tackle mass-production, mass-consumerism and its enormous waste-streams my project-partner Nora and I decided to strip the problem down to it’s core. We found that at the core of what we as individuals can do against mass-consumerism is to start caring again. To start caring for your belongings, thus your direct environment, and therefore a larger environment. Caring on a both mental and physical level, caring as a rebellious act to consumerist behavior.

We researched consumerism and care in its broadest sense and developed this into an effective movement: An educative workshop based community. Within this open community, holistic and practical workshops are organised. The holistic side focuses on the theoratical, meditative and mentally informative ways of caring. Whereas the practical side actualises care in a physical way, such as renewing and repairing.
