recording and archiving spaces and moments from my environment, I build a tangible thread in my work that expresses and represents specific ideas or feelings from my narration and composition. It as an archive of sketches showing and forming my perception and interpretation.
Tension in composition and the threatening elementsTaken in Iceland in a cave I was bewildered by this truly Alien landscape. The fact that this image would also seem as if I rotated a horizontal landscape 90 degrees and that there is more light and colour in the end of the cave, yet no sky makes it extra estranging. Perfect roadShot in Berlin, I often photograph curtains. I really like the idea of curtains covering windows yet still carrying the light and shadow behindA scene as if from a dream. I felt a strange relation to this structure emitting light, being attracted to it, wanting to go there but also not being able to go there since I was just on a cruiseship.On my bikeride home I felt that the lighting of this particular evening was extraordinary. Especially in contrast with the light that the building is reflecting.
